The Isle of Man (a tiny island in the Irish Sea) has had a continuous, unbroken government for over 1000 years now, without an invasion or change of parliament during that entire time. However, it is probably disqualified as it is technically considered a British "dependency" (though it's not part of the EU) and not recognized as its own entity....okay, okay, I am getting WAY too involved with this post!
