I really don't know what the purpose of that blank ballot option was last year. After all of the furor and discussion on this bb about sending in a blank nomination form in order to qualify to serve on the judging committee, not ONE blank ballot was received last year. I'm sure that club members must have at least ONE favorite chip or token that was issued during the year 2000 they would like to see nominated.
If someone is going to take the time to insert the nomination form into an envelope, put on a .34¢ stamp and send it in, wouldn't it be a reasonable thing to do to write in at least one chip or token for nomination as a minimum participation gesture?
