As the mega resorts have opened I've stayed a few days at each but for the two weeks R & R, we stay at Harrahs. Yes, I recall that dreadful period a couple of years ago when they were constructing. But I like Harrah's. They are people friendly. Their pool sucks and I told them that. They always send a personal letter saying that a resort type pool is on the drawing board. I stayed there primarily because that is where I played poker. Now that the poker room is closed, I may look for a different mid or South Strip hotel with similar rates. I like Asia where I have always had great meals. The Ranch is a "starred" restaurant and we eat there once or twice a year; again we like the people but think the restaurant is somewhat pretentious--certainly not in the class of Michaels. The table games are fun; the atmosphere is fun.
