Steve, as Educational Chairman, I've noted your suggestion that we have a seminar on slabbing at the convention.
I don't think it's a good idea, primarily for the reason Archie's articulated. Seminars are educational programs, not opportunities for those in attendance to vent or argue. That's what I think a slabbing program would be. It's the same reason I didn't organize a "grading seminar" last year: it didn't seem that it would be an educational opportunity, but rather a forum for those in attendance simply to express their opinions.
We have enough places where members can express opinions, but that's not what a seminar should be.
Thanks for your thoughts, though. I'm not criticizing, only explaining.
