JIm,
Why would our BOD even attempt a ban if they knew
the majority of members were against having a ban?
Are we still a club at this point? Are we (club) no
longer a democracy at this point by not letting the
membership decide?
I've said this over and over, Jim, this isn't just
any run-of-the-mill issue. This is an issue where
club members WILL he halted 365-days out of the year
(not 3-days as suggested by some) from openly
buying, trading, selling their legal slabbed chips
via our club magazine.
How can anyone allow this if the majority of
membership is against a ban?
A ban is not effective within our small group
because we will be outnumbered should these slabbing
companies hook up with the casinos and the
manufacturers....and especially should they employ
the gaming catalog houses who have circulation in
the tens of thousands.
What do we continue to do then, keep hitting
eachother over the head in our little room saying
"NO YOU CAN'T DO THIS HERE"?
We don't buy the "you're free to do whatver you wish
throughout the year" because it won't be possible to
do it in front of 2,500 member who read our
magazine.
Now shouldn't we go back to having "FUN" (Nate) and enjoying our hobby in freedom (me).
We'll be just fine. The
"tomorrow may be too late" (you) and the "we're doomed" (Jim Perlowski) or
the "we'll be destroyed" (Andy) is not positive thinking.
Having "FUN" (Nate) is positive thinking.
