Slabbing Fraud?

After reading Jim and Archies articles concerning slabbing in Chequers, another possible and probable scenario has occurred to me.

What is to keep an unscrupulous employee who has the power to grade chips from giving chips an extremely high grading, then either selling them himself or having a consipirator sell them as a side line. Judging from what I read about how the coin dealers appreciated being able to sell their coins at higher prices, this can easily be open to fraud.

I see absolutely NO advantage to having a chip slabbed. I will have nothing to do with it.

DOWN WITH SLABBING....If slabbing ever becomes the acceptable norm in chip collecting, for me, it is time to move on!
