George (Ed) Mann of Greenfield, Indiana died January 6, 2001 at his home. Ed was a longtime collector of silver strikes. Ed was an inspiration to those who knew him. Nine years ago, when he was diagnosed with cancer,he was given six months to live. That didn't stop Ed, even when he added lupus and heart problems to his opponents. He traveled frequently to shows and conventions and even went to New Mexico by car to acquire the state's only strike from Camel Rock Casino. Ed served in the Marine Corps and is survived by his wife, Peggy, and three sons and many grandchildren. Services will be held at Erlewein Mortuary, 1484 West US 40, Greenfield, Indiana 46140 on Wednesday, January 10 at 11 AM.
