Tom,
I have purchased from Bob on many occasions... and would do so again without hesitiation. Not only have I discovered that the quality of his chips have exceeded my expectations -- he packs carefully and SHIPS PROMPTLY - time after time. I posted feedback just yesterday for him that said:
"...one of the rare times I am not "happy", I am THRILLED."
I do not know him personally, but BASED ON MY experiences with him, I would be surprised if it were he that "dropped the ball" on this. Honest! As a former POSTAL EMPLOYEE, however... I have witnessed first-hand: letters and small parcels postmarked 6 years previously - stamped with a cool:
"Found in supposedly empty equipment."
I have SEEN what happens to mail that is run through OCR's (Automatic reading machines that sort mail/parcels at 15,000 pieces an hour v. hand sorting (about 1000/ hr.) I have seen "jams" where the "jammed piece" resembles "shredded wheat" -- and the 1500 pieces that followed until the machine shut off became accordian-like projectiles... damaged severely. (Jams happened... heck... every few hours back when I still worked there. Everything was thrown into baskets" and re-routed through "re-wrap"... where someone hopefully could use "puzzle-like skills" to figure out "what went where.")
I just wanted you know that I have found Bob Jordan to be prompt, honest, ethical and professional. And there's 'hope' that maybe an acceptable resolution can be reached...
And finally: if I had to chose one over the other (Bob v. the USPS) for "confidence in & competency", I'd take ole "Tiny" in a second! (and that's the truth!) GOOD LUCK... and let me know how things turn out. I am always delighted to see he is the seller when I want a chip... I'd be surprised if "resolution" was a problem, but if so -- I'd like to know...
