Do you have a UV light? If so, I'll bet that the two different chips have differences in the UV marks...

Also I looked at your chips, and the "dropped $1" one is an optical illusion, actually the $1 on both chips are approx. in the same place (see the bottom left chip overlay below). I measured the inlays, and the "dropped $1" is 0.924" while the other is 0.868"
The other thing that the "dropped $1" exhibits is a larger sized font used for the "Fitzgerald's" - as seen on the bottom right chip overlay below.

I'm not sure if it is an artifact of the scan, yet the "dropped $1" seems to have a smooth finish to the "Lt Blue" base material, while the other seems to have a textured... Do you have dups of both?
