First, dont misunderstamd my position. I am strongly against slabbing and would have no need to slab a chip!
But your second comment is the first logical, economicly based argument on the topic I have heard. Having the dealers at the convention with slabbs that wont sell will be more efective then not having them there.
If I was a show dealer, which I am not (I sell primarily on line and on ebay), I will only know for sure that slabbing is a wast of time if no one buys them. If my slabbed chips were banned from the show, I would either not come to the show or never know for sure if there is a demand or not.
If we spend all the energy that we have generated on this issue on an educational effort, I think the results would be greater the trying to push them into the shadows. (bad things gan grow in the shadows)
I say we see what happens at the Superbowl show.
