But to answer your question(s);

The two individuals who are employees of ICG and who have applied for membership in CC & GTCC have no different rights than any other club member. However, under Jim Episale's proposal, which has been endorsed by several other candidates for office .... paid advertisements in the club magazine regarding slabs would be prohibited ... with our without the club logo membership i.d.

What are you planning to do at the Fun Convention where in all probability ICG will have a table? Are you aware that there is a 100 table coin, stamp and collectibles show at Tropicana Las Vegas the weekend prior to our National CCGTCC Convention? I hope that Trimble will re-issue his call for contributions to have flyers printed up for distribution at this show.

On March 2-4 the Las Vegas Numismatic Society will be conducting their 38th Annual Coin Show at Jackie Gaugan's Plaza Hotel. Perhaps some of our Vegas members may want to embark on an "educational mission" there? On May 17-19, the NJ Token & Medal Show will be held in conjuction with the Garden State Numismatic Association's 26th Annual Convention in Sommerset New Jersey. I've already made plans to attend and distribute anti-chip slab flyers and literature. John, there are plenty of things that individuals can do. It all depends upon how strongly one feels about this intrusion into our hobby.

Now, here's where I get in trouble with you again. You ask, "Have we discussed any of our advertising options in picking their product apart? John; I've asked for those who support slabbing to post the reasons why it's a good idea and you call me names. Not one post has been made stating one good reason why slabbed chips are good for us.... and you say to the effect that they are being intimidated. You ask, "Is anyone listening?" I think lots of folks are listening, including ICG, but you feel that ICG is rolling on the floor laughing at us. How can anybody take your questions seriously when you are not taking the issue seriously? You've chastised my response to the proprietor of Sahara Coins. Do you really believe that he has received 100 emails from 100 different email addresses supporting slabbed chips? I don't. I think it's more wishful thinking on Mark's part.

As for your final "I am also wondering" questions in your post:

1) How did we know that the two who joined our club
were ICG employees?
A. Simply by asking. It stands to reason, if ICG applied for table space at our convention, don't you think that a prudent question to be asked before sending a contract is who are the individuals that will be staffing the table and what are their club membership numbers?

2) Why did someone have to ask on the bb if anyone
from ICG is a club member?
A. Until the magazine comes out this month..... how do we know who else joined the club last month, last week, next week, next month. I don't know what relevance your "I wonder" question has. Suppose there are ten ICG employees who decide to join the club? Who's to stop them... and why would anyone want to prevent them from joining?

3) Would we have not known of this if nobody asked?
A. Probably not. Again, I don't know where you are going with this question. The club does not post every name of every new club member on the bb.... nor should they.

John; I'm not your enemy. I'm not running for club office. Those who ARE running for office have stated their respective positions very clearly. The current Board has decided they don't wish to take any action. By the end of this month, the ballots for new club officers will be in the hands of the membership and it will be time for every club member to vote. I will abide by the decision made by the majority of club members who cast their ballots and I will support whomever is declared the winners.
