I just went to the post office and was Priority mailing ($3.20) one of my guides.

There was no customers in line(what a change) so I did some inquiries regarding my normal package containg my guide.

The package weighs 1lb 2oz... On Monday it will cost $3.95 to mail the package Priority Mail.

I asked what the price would be for First Class. OOP's since it weighs over 1 pound it has to go Priority Rate. I would suspect if Regular First class rate were available it would probably had been less.

I asked about the Parcel Post rate and there appearently no changes in that rate. The guide would go for $2.80. I was further told if the package were going from here (Pittsburg, CA) to the East Coast it would only take an extra day for delivery.

As I charge my purchaser's actual shipping costs, I think I might drop to Parcel Post instead of Priority. Saves the customer $1.15.

Just watching the local news and one lady interviewed doesn't like the new Priority Mail pricing rates either.

I just mailed out a dealer 40 guides and Priority Mail cost $28.80... I wonder with it will cost after Monday? Back to Parcel Post I suppose.
