I never said any such thing about a ban not being
effective.

My point is how would a ban prevent one or both of
these ICG employee club members from taking out
full-page ads in our magazine and talking their
heads off about slabs....or an ad anywhere and at
the bottom saying they are a membe of CC>CC and
illustrating our logo.

Don't you think we need to do a little more than simply showing ICG how we feel? I'm under the
impression that they could care less how we feel. I
wrote them saying that it is my opinion that our
club and hobby has no interest in their service or
product. Did that do any good? Of course not? Do
we try stopping them by banning withinn our small
group, or do we go out in the countryside where
they are? Do we put any direct pressue on them, or
do we do nothing and wait for the next group of
board members as Jim Perlowski suggests? That's
6-months down the road and there are other slabbing
companies out there who may hook on to the idea as
well. Do we just lay back and hope that
they go away because we do not employ their service
when there is more than "we" out there. Have we
discussed any of our advertising options in picking
their product apart? Can we do this freely
without them coming at us legally? Is anyone
listening? <g>

I'm also wondering:

1) How did we know that the two who joined our club
were ICG employees?

2) Why did someone have to ask on the bb if anyone
from ICG is a club member?

3) Would we have not known of this if nobody asked?
