My guess is that IGC will be handing out free samples at the Superbowl show, like they did earlier at the coin show at Tropicana. There are inexpensive chips, like a current Vegas $1 chip, in a slab. If they do offer the free sample, will anyone take one? If you signed up for Andy's list, like I did, you have already committed yourself to NOT taking a free sample.

As a matter of protest against chip slabbing, would it be better to take a free sample or not? If we take a free sample and then later "liberate" the chip from the slab, we will no longer own a slabbed chip and IGC will have incurred the expense of a chip and slabbing. If we don't take the free samples, IGC will get a strong message that slabbed chips are not welcome in the hobby.

By the way, there is a slight chance I will make the Superbowl Show. I tentatively have a business meeting scheduled for the following week and would come in early for the show. If it happens, I am looking forward to a lot of fun.
