You are correct about two things at least.
One, I do no think that there is a demand for slabbing. The problem is that it appears that most of you do. If no one wants slabbing, then who is the person who is going to pay the additional $10+ for a chip that you can get unslabbed. Your arguments lead me to beleive taht if slabbing started, everyone would be waiting in line to buy them. I wont be. Unless they are at the price that I want to pay, and then out will come the knife and to the trash will the slab go.
As far as people hording, well give me a break, they already do it.
Second thing I agree with. I dont need slabbing. I can make my own decision about which chips to buy. I just get the feeling that some of us cant.
Again, if our goal is to keep the hobby inexpensive, the we better quit trying to increase the amount of membership, or we better get the casinos to increase the issues.
