Jerry and Bernie; To get a full understanding of this issue can not be summed up in a single post to this board. I know that others have tried admirablytill . Some have read virtually every post that has been made on this subject, and they still don't have a grasp of what has been said. This bulletin board only holds 500 posts. After that, they no longer appear on this board. They are still accessible but are archived. I would suggest that you go to the very top of this message board and click ARCHIVES. That will take you to all the messages that have been posted prior to those that are currently viewable on this screen and go to the messages that have been posted during the last half of December to get a more thorough understanding of this controversial issue. Then make up your own mind as to who is on the right side of this issue and who have their heads stuck in the sand.
Having said that, I think it is fair to say that you won't find too many pro-slabbers. The overwhelming number of posters to this board are anti-slabbing. Most everyone agrees that slabbing is bad for the hobby, but the main issue is whether or not the club should adopt a policy of restricting the sales of slabs at the convention and club auction or not.
