It has happened again. Another smaller cruise ship line has filed for chapter
11 bankruptcy. According to an article in my local paper The Orlando Sentinel
Star with a byline from REUTERS, Commodire Holdings, Ltd filed for reorganization and suspended service on its three ships. The three ships
according to my knowledge are the Enchanted Seas, Enchanted Isle and the
Crown Dynasty. The latter I sailed on earlier this month from Aruba and even
predicted would go out of business. This is a smaller cruise line that has
been running low end, smaller ships primarily from the Port of New Orleans
but has it's offices in Hollywood, Florida. This is the third small cruise line
to go out of business in the past two months and it is not surprising that these
smaller lines can't compete against the giants.
