Jim; I read every word of your Chequers article and completely concur with your observations of what is about to happen in our beloved hobby. I would urge EVERYONE, whether you are in favor of slabbing, or deeply opposed to it, or if you are still sitting on the fence, to read Jim's excellent, informative and educational article. I would hope that Jim submits his story to Editor Yee for publication in a future issue of the club magazine.

For those of you who still do not know what the term "slabbing" is all about, Jim has vividly described the pitfalls of what is about to happen in this hobby if slabbing is allowed to be introduced. I believe that the club and its individual members MUST take a strong anti-slabbing position on this very controversial issue (as a matter of club policy) before it's too late. It's tough to put the Genie back into the bottle once he's escaped.
