Seriously it is a positive way to move forward.
Personally I'd say let these folks come to the show, and when no one buys anything, they will get the message. When someone tries to market a slabbed chip, no one bids. After awhile it will become evident that it's a freak of nature and naturally be selected out.
I kind of feel the same about LEs as chips with certified grading. (or any grading scale for that matter) I must consider that I make this coice for myself, not for anyone else in the club.
How would some of us feel if the club officially took a position against the sale or trade of any roulette chips at the show. Would that bite the big one?
I don't know why the great fear of slabbed chips, unless some folks feel the temptation to own them would be too great? <G>
