Here are some quick highlights from a day trip Joe Benon and I took yesterday. We left my house in West Covina, CA at 8 am and stoopped at Pechanga Indian Casino. They are taking applications for slot cards (to be issued in February, then south to Sycuan (new slot cards and house chips), Viejas (slot cards) and Barona (slot cards). We tried to get some of the older cards from these places and had little success but I was able to get an older Sycuan from a player using it)We then headed north through the mountains to Anza which is the home of a very small Indian Casino Cahuilla Creek. No cards here YET but they are coming. It was dark by now (5:30 pm) and we headed for Indio, east of Palm Springs......At the Spotlight 29 therre were no cards except the old Club 29 Member's card and they were completely out of cards at Fantasy Springs. Both of these casinos are gearing up for slot cards.....The Spa in Palm Springs was especially rewarding with new slot cards and plastic room keys at the hottel. Morongo in Cabazon has not implemented their new card system but it will be soon, so they say. Anyway, I got home at 11:30.....tired but happy. IN ALL CASES, there were very few extra (in some cases NONE) cards to be had. They are not to be found on top of machines like some other places....
