John; Not knowing who is going to be elected into club office this next time around .... I prefer to say that slabbed chips are currently restricted items, not to be offered for sale at the club's annual convention or in the club magazine. If a ban, as you like to call it, is enacted by the newly elected officers, that is so unpopular with the club membership, then the club membership ought to vote out those who put that restriction into place.

You see, I liken this issue to smoking, where there are un-restricted places for those to go who enjoy lighting up.... like off the premises.
