I understand that you would not buy it, and I respect you for that position. Some people would be looking for loopholes in order to justify buying that chip.
My point is simply that the club profits no more from a dealer selling a slabbed chip to a visitor, than it does from a visitor selling a slabbed chip to the dealer.
With the exception of auction sales, the club does not profit from any individual chip sale (except club items).
If you are going to try to justify a ban on selling slabbed chips at the convention, don't rely on the "club profits from or endorses" sales on the floor argument, because no one really believes it.
If the club prfits from and endorses sales made from the floor, then the club had better start taking a much more active role in sales policies of dealers at the convention. You never know when someone might do something which the club would not want to endorse.
