This however just reenforces the point that the club is not profiting from or supporting slabbed chips.

So if a dealer buys the chip in a slab for $1,500 at the conevntion, turns around and sells it for $3,000 in the slab, that is the club profiting and supporting slabbing, but if that same dealer removes it from the slab, the club isn't profiting or supporting slabbing?

That doesn't even begin to make sense to me.
