Andy Hughes stated "The only two people who can delete a message on this Board are the poster & Greg Susong & without even asking I can tell you Greg did not delete your post. Maybe it did not show up on the Board yet. If you don't see it then re-post it."
Oh, it was there alright. The last response post in the thread was by a user stating that the majority of the club favored LEs in the mid-90s and around 40% currently approve of LEs.
That and several short posts debating my real name (like it mattered). The snipping took place at my post concerning LEs. I have no desire to continue typing concepts and objective opinions which are deleted because they began invoking a questionable response from a club member. Things change and people adapt. Don't make the Amish look progressive and trendsetting by comparison. The subject of "slabbing" is minor compared to the glut of casino chips.
If you look at the hobbys which suffered in the past 30 years you'll see that greed of the item manufacturers are the ones who caused the most damage. Collectors left when they couldn't afford to keep up with the new issues. Market glut killed interest. Each company tried to take a little bit more of the consumer pie. I don't think "slabbers" will kill chip collecting. I think casinos are doing a fair job of that themselves.
