Now that I've personally welcomed you to the bulletin board (notice I didn't say "officially welcomed you") let me state one thing that you've neglected to mention.

The difference then, with Limited Editions vs. the current "contempt" regarding slabbing as you put it .... is that the ORGANIZATION was NEVER contemptuous about LE's.

I see quite a difference between grousing among individuals, and a movement to outright enforce a ban on slabbed chips at the club's convention and auction as a result of CLUB POLICY enacted by a group of candidates who are seeking the club's top offices.... who may be elected by the MEMBERSHIP based on the positions the candidates are taking. Sure, there will be those members who are opposed to the ban. There are members who are not in agreement with lots of club rules and policies. If so, they can vote for candidates who are taking a more passive position. The fact is, the organization is speaking out and may taking an active role in an attempt to DO SOMETHING about this intrusion. When the final chapter is written, CC & GTCC may not have been successful, but it won't be because they have not tried.
