Unfortunately, sometimes all one has to do is claim to be an expert on a subject to soon be universally accepted as the expert. They put a little money behind the project, put them in a flashy holder and hold themselves out to be the "standard" and everyone who is new or naive enough to believe them begins to spread the "lie" of their expertise until it becomes a given.

That is what will happen in our hobby with slabbing if we let our guard drop and don't do everything in our power RIGHT NOW and in the future to educate our fellow collectors that slabbing only serves to enrichen the company doing the slabbing and does nothing to enrichen our hobby.
