Re: Casino tipping etiquette question

Bob,
I have always been a firm believer in tipping well for exceptional service. I have dealt with hosts from many a Vegas property over the years and some have become very close friends. One thing to remember NOT to do is try to give a host CASH as a gratuity!! Most all are forbidden from accepting them and could be grounds for termination. Don't put yourself and the host in the uncomfortable position of trying to tip them in this way. Most host are well paid so a small but personal gift will be remembered for the thought and that is the whole point here. If the gift gets to be outrageous, the boys upstairs could raise some eyebrows and it could bring some heat down on your host.

Kruse's suggestions were right on the money. Keep in mind that this is a business relationship and gift as you would to any other vendor who has gone out of his/her way for you the customer. One of the best things to do for your favorite host is to send all of your high roller roulette friends to them! The host will love you forever!!!!
