As usual, very perceptive of your Peter to notice that I didn't really say whether I endorsed Jim's proposal or not.
I do think it warrants further discussion, but at the moment I'm inclined to agree with Bob's comment that banning slabbed chips in the club auction would be appropriate, but have some reservations about banning them on the convention floor.

Essentially, I agree with both of those observations (though they represent the two extremes and the reality is more likely to be somewhere between "most" members going either direction).
And, even though we are a private organization and not a governmental agency, any "ban" we might consider imposing would still be in the nature of a regulatory restriction, which goes against my Libertarian attitude.
