I'm afraid I have to disagree with you. The fact that CEO's are making 1000 times what the average worker bee makes is why unions are still needed. The fact that manufacturing is being moved overseas where the workers are paid pennies on the dollar are why unions are still needed.

You keep bringing up Rolm, I think that it is great the way they compensate & treat their employees. They are a model for all corporations to look up to. But, I can guarantee you that Rolm is a very small exception to the rule. If today's corporations can make an extra buck at the expense of their workers, you better look out.
