Mark, That early date could well be true. Jones Bros. the distributor in
the New Orleans area got started sometime around 1932-33. Their first
place was at 117 N.Hennessey St. in N.O.La. Sometime in the early 40's
they had a fire and destroyed their records. They then moved to 4105
Jefferson Highway which is in Jefferson Parish a suburb west of N.O.La.
Here again they had a fire in the early 50's and all the records were lost.
Jonsee as he is know here is still alive and well for his 92 years. The
problem for us historians is that his remembering what happened 60 years
ago is one of those woulda, shoulda, coulda deals. Like with all us humans
going back that far everything tends to run together. It is well possible
that the Railroad Pass Chips go way back but we can't prove it since his
records were destroyed. Hope this helps a little, Al
