Jim; Please allow me to clarify and expand on my earlier post. First of all, I have no strong objections toward any of the candidates who are currently running for club office. In fact, I'm happy to see so many club members who have expressed a sincere interest in running for office. Their diversification in views on various subjects offers a wide selection to choose from among club voters on whom to vote for.
My point was/is that the expressed "teamwork" of the four candidates who are currently endorsing each other does not begin until the elections are over and they begin to work together as fellow club officers (IF they are elected). Until then, they are simply candidates who are supporting each other.... and there is nothing wrong with that. To think otherwise implants an impression in my (and other's) minds that should one or more of the four candidates who have "teamed up" under a common banner does NOT get elected, the opposing candidate(s) who may win a particular board seat may be perceived as not being part of the "team" and may come on board as an intruder or opponent since he was not part of the "team". I would hope to think that whomever is elected to the various officer positions will become team members.... not just the four candidates who have adopted this catchy slogan.
I would be interested in hearing from those who agree with this viewpoint, or from those with an opposing view.
