This message is in response to post made on 11/27 about chips released at the Tropicana Poker room.Scott Harmon replied that the poker dealers were "pricks" because they were buying chips to sell to collectors for a profit.
I AM a poker dealer at the Trop and also a member of the Atlantic City chapter.
I emailed Scott and asked him why he was calling me a prick. He replied to me that he had No desire to discuss it with me.He told me to "Please post on the chip board where everyone can get the facts".That is the reason for this post.
The facts are:
(1)-As an employee, I was allowed to purchase 4 chips.
(2)-One "collector" was able to purchase 100 chips.
(3)-Other "collectors" were able to purchase many more than the 4 chips allowed to employees.
So I guess according to Scott,I am a "Prick"and I should not be allowed to buy my 4 chips and bring them to the chapter meeting and sell them for $ 7.00 or $ 8.00 each so I can make a hugr $ 2.00 profit.
But it is OK for non-employee collectors to buy stacks of chips and sell them to other collectors for a profit.
For the few collectors that did see me Sunday when the chips were released, I tried to help them get chips before i even had one for myself.
Scott- THESE WERE FACTS!
I don't care who gets the chips or how many they get.But when another collector comes up to me and says "Oh, You must be the prick that was buying all of the chips." I didn't even know what he was talking about until I was told about your post.So I felt I had to reply.Since you don't like private emails you can post your reply here for everyone to see.
