There was a plan to open a casino in the Monticello area, perhaps at the Monticello raceway. I believe it was one of the Indian tribes that currently has a casino in NY State, Akwesasne or Turning Stone that was trying to make this happen. I deal was set to go through and at the last minute Trump made some counter offer and now everything is in limbo. The deal requires approval from various government agencies and is still a couple of years away.

I don't know why the casino came up with this chip well before a deal for the casino has been finalized.
