I haven’t seen the computerized database, yet a few years ago while I was at the Fitzgerald's Downtown Las Vegas - they had a 3-ring notebook that they used to verify "foreign" chips that a player asked if they would "freshen-up". By way these "foreign" chips were from O'Sheas on the strip, and the pit boss passed on "freshening them up"...
It only makes since that the casinos would catch-up with the computer age... Only difference is that the images needs to be accessible in the various pits... Monitors aren't as mobile as a book... <VBG>
I too would be interested to see how far back both the book and the electronic book goes...
