I have figured the best way for those of you who are not pro's at Ebay to find chips quick. I will use Sands for examples. ALthough many titles work. Old casino chips is one- probably commonly used. Or just old chip but then you will see a few chips on 12 different pages with many interesting antiques cars etc. When the description is searched than any of those words old, chip, come up.
1)Go to the home page & in the "What are you looking for" box type in Sands chips, click "Find It". Or click SEARCH & type same. You can go to COllectibles then to chips but I don't think it is necessary.
2)Check where it says "search titles & descriptions, etc". box. This ads more chips. Many more, from 1 Sands to seeing 14!
3) Click on the "Gallery Items Only". To see great pictures.
Plural Sands for some reason is showing more but includes other things too (such as the Desert Sands Pottery from Boulder City, Nevada that I have a large collection of & always looking for more). If you just type in Sands chip you will see all Sands chips.
If you add Las Vegas it only will show you Vegas instead of some Puerto Rico chips & those Sands Reno large Key molds that are always on ebay.
4) Hit the "Search" or go button. Located just a little ways back up.
5) Under the chip is a description, or title. Click on that & it will take you to the chip.
6) Once you have fun viewing a nice chip (don't forget to bid), click on "view sellers other auctions". If you happen to be on one of my chips then this will take you to see all my auctions.
I mention Sands as that is by far the most populat place to check out right now,& rightfully so.
Basically type in whatever casino you like under the Search & good luck finding it. Simplicity seems to work. Sands 1. No $, no zero's, gets you more chips than any other. Or try 100 & you will see my 2 nice $100's right now. Both are supposed to be in the gallery but one photo of the old 13 th issue doesn't come up. Gallery is a great selling tool & only costs .25! I have been running a counter & checking the hits & by far getting more. My Mother doesn't always run them in the gallery pictures in the past & I have been able to compare this. (She should run all this way now, especially since it is so cheap). Another thing is new collectors or those who dont have time to weed through the nearly 5,000 chips on ebay recently will be able to see chip pictures real quick!
SO again, type in the casino you like. Click gallery. And mark the search descriptions box. And have fun. Just don't bid on the old Vegas casino scenes pillow cover. I need that!
Go back & click "All items including gallery". You will see pic's & just listings of many chips.
To quickly see good chips try the "more search options" & then fill in "price range", like $50 to $1,000. I do this to weed out the cheaper chips but then I could miss bargains that someone puts up who doesn't know what they have.
