Freedom is a complicated thing. Sometimes your freedom interferes with my freedom. Barring the media from polling places was a little extreme and a little tongue in cheek. I do think polling places should be free to not report the results until the results are all in. Independant verification of the results is a separate issue.

I have been involved in a lot of different "voting processes" as a neighborhood activist and otherwise. I have never seen a process other than national politics where I'm told the outcome of other peoples votes before I get a chance to cast my vote.
