Face Recognition Capability Significantly Enhances Casino Security's Ability to Counter Card Cheats

Visionics Corporation, the leading developer of face recognition technology worldwide, announced today that MGM Grand Las Vegas, a subsidiary of MGM MIRAGE (NYSE: MGG) has adopted the FaceIt(R)- enabled Griffin G.O.L.D. casino security database system. The Venetian and Bellagio had already announced their adoption of the product earlier this year.

"This is further validation that FaceIt(R) has indeed become the de facto standard in the casino market for enhancing surveillance capabilities and providing a real-time loss prevention measure. We are pleased to be working with Griffin Investigations and welcome MGM into the family of users of FaceIt(R)-enabled products," said Dr. Joseph J. Atick, president and CEO of Visionics Corporation.

Griffin Investigations is the leading intelligence provider to the gaming community worldwide. Their on-line database contains over 30 years of intelligence
information and allows the casinos to match suspected individuals at gaming tables, in real-time, to a database containing photographs of all types of known casino cheaters, card counters and their associates.

"We have been working in this industry for decades and take pride in our ability to solve our customers' needs. We are confident that the FaceIt(R) system combined with our Internet-based surveillance intelligence system provides a revolutionary new tool for our customers [casino owners, managers and regulators] to reduce losses while maintaining a highly-secure environment," said Bob and Beverly Griffin, Owners of Griffin Investigations.
