I picked up these two Kings Castle 50 cent chips recently.

These are (IMO) two different chips...

Note the red on the lighter colored chip (on the right) is actually darker than the red in the darker colored chip (on the left) - thus I don't think the differences in color are due to fading...

What do you think?
