That is a commendable way to deal with the situation. However I think that Michael is not wrong to accept these high bids, this is an auction that we are talking about. As long as the auction is honest (And Michael's always are) I see no reason to criticize him for accepting the high bid as it was made. I would imagine that from time to time Michael also sells chips for less than he though he might receive, why should we expect him to allow the Market to set a low selling price, but not a high one.
