I quit in 1973 Right after my internist showed me an X-ray of my lungs. He said you can give up smoking or breathing take your pick.
I had just returned from a cruise to the islands and had brought back 10 cartons.... Finished the 10 cartons and as the last cigarette from the last pack of the last carton burned down to my fingers I knew that was it for me.

Do I miss it 27 years later, of course not.... Pass the Luckies please
