I agree with what has been said about the use of scans (images) that others make. It is only common sense to ask first... Most will grant it, especially if credit is given for the image(s).

Some people have added text to an image denoting the source of the scan, yet most are in response to people "hi-jacking" the scans without asking first, and also using these scans for profit... (i.e. using them on ebay to sell a chip).
Which brings up another point that has been discussed before - that of using an image on ebay that doesn't represent the actual chip being sent to the "wining bidder". Yet that is a different and probably long thread...
