Good point. I have long said that the Club should do work in the area of protecting our hobby from reproductions, unlimited Limited Editions, reissuing obsolete chips, and too-real-looking fantasy chips.
We could work with other groups to put more teeth into the Hobby Protection Act; get the chip collecting hobby included under the umbrella of the Hobby Protection Act; pressure casinos, chip manufacturers and cassino control commissions to act in pro-hobby ways; and to continue to inform the public as to reproductions and frauds.
What do the candidates think about this important issue?
As far as our 501-c-3 non-profit tax staus goes, we can either (1) work around that in legally acceptable ways, or (2) have two CCGTCC organizations with separate funds and the same officers and board -- one 501-c-3 for donations, etc., and a another regular one for lobbying, etc.
