My lavender Park Tahoe chip doesn't have them, but my white one does. See the scan below. Also found them on the Sahara Tahoe 2.50, but the seem to be slightly raised rather than recessed. This would seem to rule out ejector pin marks. However, I'd say they are definitely related to the manufacturing process and not something done after they were put into use (like jewelry mounts).

I looked at numerous other BJones CIC chips and did not find them. Also all we've seen have been on chips with custom molds, not BJ standards. This might be significant to someone who knows the manufacturing process. Also significant is the fact they appear only on one side of a chip.
