Miss Belterra set sail Tuesday, September 26, from New Orleans to make her journey up the Mississippi and Ohio Rivers and is expected to arrive at her berthing site in Indiana the first week of October.
Miss Belterra has spent the last eight weeks getting a facelift after the unfortunate accident on the Mississippi River in July.
Belterra Casino Resort, located by the Markland Dam in southeast Indiana will be opening at the end of October (pending IGC approval).
The 38,000 sq. ft. Casino holds 2,700 passengers and 300 crew members. The casino has 1,350 of the hottest new slot machines and 57 exciting table games including: Craps, Roulette, Blackjack, Caribbean Stud, Wild Aruba Stud, Caribbean Draw and Midi Baccarat.
Belterra Casino Resort will offer free admission to enter the casino.
This beautiful casino resort has a 15-story hotel with 308 deluxe rooms and suites. The hotel will also have a full service health spa and offer 24-hour room service.
The property has six unique dining experiences including: The Belterra Buffet, Fireside Steak House, Ocean Grill, The Seafood Bar, Rockwell's Cafe and The Deli which is located in the Casino.
The facility will also contain a 1,500 seat showroom and several retail outlets. A Tom Fazio designed 18-hole championship golf course will open late summer 2001.
