While sojourning in the sunny climes of Venice two weeks ago and motoring in the Grand Canal, I passed a small boatstop with a Casino sign. My curiosity led me to a Govt. run Casino with Tuxedo dressed employees and a dress code for members to play. No Craps, but French Roulette, and Baccarat, and a five card burn after the cut for black jack. After paying to join and making a contribution to the falling Italian Lire, I still managed to leave with a few chip samples. Quite a surprise, as I didn't know there were any Casinos in Italy.
