One of the the most gracious grand dames of Reno passed away Sunday: Scherry Harrah. She came to Reno in the mid-40s to work at Harold's Club and married Bill Harrah in 1948. She was married to him for 18 years. For the last five years she has been working on her autobiography which probably will be published next year. Should be a fascinating read for those interested in Reno casino history.
