if this happened to anyone else, you would have been the first (well maybe Michael Par would have been the first) person to defend this guy. I don't recall the threads, but I seem to recall you bent over backwards defending some creap because he didn't do anything that was technically violative of eBay or US laws.
Now I happen to agree with you with respect to this guy. Whether or not he was technically right or wrong, he was morally wrong. The fact of the matter is, charging more than actual costs are wrong. I don't mind an extra $.50 to $1.00 for handling, cost of envelope, etc. His postage was $0.77. I would think $1.50 would have been ok. Whether he was right or wrong, he should be avoided for using postage as a profit source.
Unlike BriaN, there are many times that I stupidly don't pay attention to the shipping charges. If a person is going to rip you off in postage, the guy is a creap and should be avoided. I don't care he he is within eBay rules. I want to deal with a seller on a higher plane than that of eBay.
But again, Jim, you're the last person who should be complaining.
