Rich may well be right (and even though he hasn't said it aloud, I can hear Neal thinking, "will you just shut up!"). However, to quote Henry Clay, "I'd rather be right than President."
And if the cost of being president (even of our club) is having to muzzle myself on serious social issues when they arise in the context of our bulletin board, then I can always spend my time doing something else (like actually collecting chips).
BTW, Rich, I never said I support drug use. The two drugs which cause the most harm in this country are both legal (alcohol and nicotine). I use neither and permit neither in my home. Needless to say, that prohibition also applies to any and all other non-prescription drugs. My opinion on the problem of drug abuse is based entirely on what I perceive to be the best interests of the greatest number of people in our country.
Anyone who finds that sufficiently offensive to vote for someone else in our club election, has two other fine candidates to choose from. ----- jim o\-S
