... It is with considerable pleasure and a high degree of confidence in their abilities that I endorse election candidates Neal Silverman for Vice President and Marty Kaplan for Secretary of the CC>CC.

Neal and Marty are well-known as the co-founders of Chequers, and contributing editors of Casino Player Magazine and co-authors of Collector's Corner (a monthly chip collecting column in Casino Player). Neal, of course, was also the developer and first webmaster of the CC>CC club website.

I have a long-term personal relationship with both; in fact, it was Neal who recruited me into the club by providing me with copies of the club magazine. While we do not agree on every issue, Neal, Marty & I share, for the most part, a common vision of the future of our club. I firmly believe that we can work together effectively for the benefit of the club if we are all elected to the board in this election.

Our election process does not provide for "parties" or "slates" of candidates. Each of us will be elected, if at all, on his own merits. My feelings about Neal and Marty should not be taken as criticism of any other candidates who are running for or may run for these offices. I appreciate the willingness of anyone to volunteer his time and effort to help our club. Nevertheless, I feel strongly that Neal and Marty are the best possible choices for election to these two positions.
