Thanks, Alan. My reason for asking who stated this
was a fantasy chip is because this is not the first
time I've heard this and I simply wanted to clear
the matter. It seems that some collectors are
confused by thinking there was only one issue of
Club Royale chips, and that being the issue that
went down with the ship. I've also known the Chipco
(your scan) series to be passed as original issue.

BTW, there was never a Club Royale II that I know of
that sailed from Florida. There was only a Club
Royale. There was another ship known as the Captain
Matthew Flinders who used the chip you illustrate.
